•••WELCOME TO THINKTECH

The ThinkTech radio show ended on April 23, 2008 and we are moving into our new chapter, including ThinkTech.tv, ThinkTechSchools.com and ThinkTechEvents.com.

For reference, this was our closing on the April 23rd show:

This is ThinkTech's final show and final moment on KIPO and Hawaii Public Radio. Certainly, ThinkTech has matured over the past six years, from exploring consumer tech to looking at the role of tech in industry and government and tech as a state of mind in shaping the global economy.

In short, we've outgrown our show on KIPO and will be exploring new ideas on other media. It'ss been a great six years, filled with nutrition and excitement, some 327 shows and more than 1,000 wonderful guests. So stay tuned for more of ThinkTech, a state of mind, on our website, ThinkTechHawaii.com and who knows where else and what else. We are looking forward to new adventures, and I hope you'll follow us there.

Thanks to all the people at HPR who have supported and helped us over these past 6 years, including Kayla Rosenfeld, Ray Cruz, Lillian Zhang, Gene Evans, Katie Leoni, Bebe Kim, and many others. And to the people in my office, who have supported and helped me every week for all these years, particularly our firm manager Diane Sherman and my fabulous secretary Dara Teo.

And a word about the other volunteers and founders of the show, although you've all moved on to other things, somehow you've all still part of it, Laurie Akau, Gordon Bruce, and Don Mangierelli. We learned so much together. I remember the rush of putting the show together, the four of us in 2001 - it seems like yesterday, and indeed it was a historical moment. Fond wishes to you all as we close this chapter.

And to our listeners and fans, thanks for listening. Going forward, all I can say is Think Tech, please, about the fast breaking changes in the world, how we all need to keep up with them, and what great opportunities they mean for all of us. Please take that one sea change away with you, and try to remember us for what we have been getting at, our evangelism if you will, in working on this show.

This is Jay Fidell. Aloha, tsei-gien and farewell to you all and to Hawaii Public Radio.
